Stone floor tiles – Stones need extra support built into the floor when installed. This is not necessarily because of the weight, but as plates made of ceramic and stone tend to inflexible and weaker floors give something. Cement backer board designed specifically to provide a base for stone floor tiles. It is a half-inch thick sheet material made of plaster. And other mineral particles to make it sturdy enough to give the floor extra support it needs. So that the stone tiles can installed afterward.
